Interview with Katharine Salmon, Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre.

Katharine trained at the University of Tasmania and worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital for 3 years before travelling and working in the UK for 2 years in various roles.

Katharine returned to Sydney, NSW, where she undertook and completed her General Practice training and worked for 6 years. She returned to Hobart with her family in 2001 and since then has worked in General Practice with a special interest in aged care.

Katharine has a hope that knowledge and services related to dementia can continue to be improved for those people living with dementia and the general community. It is hoped that the provision of a diagnostic cognitive assessment clinic for Tasmanians will improve access to diagnostic services in the state whilst also linking in with research at the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre.
