Episode 140: David Franklin (Flashair Australia) - Part 2
This episode features Part 2 of Craig's interview with David Franklin, who is a General Aviation Commercial Pilot with his company Flashair Australia and who’s life to date has been very much linked to the sea, through his various work activities but also through his passion for fishing and boating which began at a very early age. In this Part 2 we hear David relate his entry into working as a commercial diver and as a tuna spotting pilot in the tuna farming industry in Port Lincoln, South Australia, and elsewhere, after having worked as a pilot and flight instructor in the mining industry at Roxby Downs. We also hear David talk of his pilot work in the agricultural sector, his time as a spotter pilot, trainer and diver for a Turkish - Japanese tuna farming consortium in the Mediterranean, and of his more recent work in emergency services flying.
