Craig's interview guest in this episode is Nicolas (Nick) Horniblow, who recently submitted his thesis for his Bachelor of Science Honours project, done through the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania, in which he investigated the metabolism of sand flathead populations across heavily and less heavily fished regions in Tasmanian waters. But in contrast to the relatively sedentary flathead, in fisheries terms we would describe Nick as a highly migratory species. Through his life, to date, he has spent time in many different ‘corners’ of our planet. And, in this Part 1 we hear Nick relate interesting and entertaining stories of his life pathway, from birth and early years in California to Switzerland, Morocco, China, UK and Mexico, and including his passage into SCUBA dive guiding, dive instructing and underwater photography. Part 2 of Nick's interview will feature as the next episode of Vibes Under The Sea.
