Episode 135: Ruby Fox (IMAS)-Part 2…and more.
In this episode we hear Part 2 of Craig's interview with Ruby Fox, who has been investigating the feeding behaviours of Australian Sea Lions for her Honours project at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania. We pick up where we left off in Part 1 with Ruby explaining how the methods and outcomes of her research should have beneficial applications for those studying colonies of other seal species worldwide. And she also to talks with great passion about her various roles at the University of Tasmania, including assisting high school students in their decision making, or at least thinking, about life after school and, of course, flagging marine science as a very worthwhile career choice! The remainder of the episode has Craig reading three recently published articles that come with marine flavours.
