“I retired in 2020, after 33 years as a fisheries scientist with CSIRO in Hobart. My last 20 years with 'the firm' were devoted to research in tuna fisheries and primarily in collaboration projects with Indonesia, towards the goal of improved sustainability for shared stocks. Vibes Under The Sea has provided me the opportunity for maintaining contact with Tasmania's marine science community and with others who have strong connections to the sea; some of whom I already know but with introductions to many who I have not previously met. I feel privileged to be able to explore and record their life stories!”
